What Types of Gifts Can Be Donated?

Unrestricted Gifts
Unrestricted financial gifts to Countryside Association help our organization meet daily expenses of operating our programs. Like any other business, Countryside has significant operating expenses to meet including building leases, utility bills, program supplies, transportation equipment and employee benefits just to name a few. Unrestricted gifts from our communities and throughout the nation help Countryside meet its mission of supporting children and adults with disabilities.

Restricted Gifts
Gifts may be restricted to a particular program operated by Countryside Association (e.g. Countryside Center, Respite, Lakeside Center). To restrict your gift, simply include a note indicating how you would like the money to be directed.

Stocks and Bonds
Donating stock or bonds can help Countryside Association and offer you a possible tax benefit. For more information, please contact Howard Reicheneker Associate Executive Director, at (847)540-3707 or howardr@countrysideassn.org.

Capital Projects
Countryside Association maintains an ongoing list of capital needs throughout the agency. If you would like to fund a project in part or in whole, please contact Wayne Kulick, Executive Director at (847) 540-3701 or waynek@countrysideassn.org.

Memorials & Other Gifts Honoring a Loved One

Endowment Fund

Countryside Association Endowment Fund was started in 2003 by a bequest received from Leta Kramer, a former member of the Auxiliary of Countryside Center to provide financial support for the future needs of the clients Countryside serves. Donors can make a current gift of any amount or a future gift in a form of a bequest, a life insurance policy, a charitable trust or other planned gift. The earnings of the endowment fund augment state and federal resources and make it possible for Countryside to continuously offer support services. There are a number of strategies you can use to structure the gift according to your circumstances so please contact your financial planner or attorney for further information. Please consider Countryside Association's future thought a provision in your estate plan.

Volunteering

The gift of time is invaluable to Countryside Association. Each year Countryside volunteers help fill many essential roles from planning special events, serving as board members, assisting in our day programs, providing assistance during client lunches or building a special friendship with an adult supported by one of our programs.

You don't need experience or special skills to volunteer at Countryside Association--just a willingness to help. To learn more about volunteering, simply contact Wayne Kulick at (847) 540-3701 or e-mail waynek@countrysideassn.org.

Over 120 employees from Unilever in Rolling Meadows volunteered their time
with 12 projects that included painting, grounds upkeep and a client picnic.
